V:Tell us a bit about yourself?

I was born in Grande Prairie in 1969 making me 49 years young. I have been with my love of my life since I was 16 years old and we have been married since we were 19. I have 2 wonderful daughters and 6 grand kids. My parents are well and live right here in GP along with all my family. When I am not enjoying my family, I love to fish, hunt, and enjoy the outdoors.

V:How long have you been a member at VO2max?

I joined VO2max on December 22, 2017.

V:What lead you to start your fitness journey at VO2?

I missed the feeling of being strong and want to be able do all the outdoor activities that I love to do. It also provides stress relief.

V:What is your favourite workout/movement?

Cardio is pretty good!  I like lifting weights and love how ab work-outs make me feel stronger.

V:What do you do for work?

I work for Seven Generations Energy in the well completions office which I’ve been doing now for about 3 years.

V:What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?

I achieved my GED diploma at the young age of 45.

V:Tell us about yourself?

K:My husband Curtis and I have been married for almost 8 years. We have 3 little boys Cale (6), Cayden (4), and Cooper (2). I am from Cape Breton NS, but have lived in GP for 10 years. We love being outside with the boys snowmobiling and quadding.

V:How long have you been a member?

K:I have been a member since 2014.

V:What lead you to start your fitness Journey?

K:My husband had been training with Brett for a couple years and encouraged me to try out Bootcamp at VO2Max. I had been working out elsewhere but was looking for a change. I needed something to push me further and out of my comfort zone. Janine & Crystal definitely do that!

V:What is my favourite workout/movement?

K:I will probably regret saying this, but I have come to like burpees. Crystal, please don’t start giving me extra!

V:What do you do for work?

K:I’m a stay at home mom!

V:What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?

K:I was pretty active growing up. I played soccer, basketball and volleyball and I Highland danced.

K:As a stay at home mom of 3 boys, it is important for me to be strong and healthy for them. So I can keep up with them and set an example of how to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
VO2Max is always so welcoming and encouraging. Crystal always pushes you to give your 100% everyday! I love being part of the Vo2 Family.

V: Tell us a bit about yourself?

S: I am 42 years old and grew up on a farm near Sexsmith with three younger siblings. After moving several times, I now live in Grande Prairie with my husband and two teenage sons. I was fortunate to be the first graduating class of teachers from the Grande Prairie Regional College. I taught in Valhalla, Beaverlodge and Grande Prairie before having my boys.

V: How long have you been a member at VO2max?

S: I became a member in February 2016.

V: What lead you to start your fitness journey at VO2?

S: Initially I started at another studio and a client there kept saying ‘you have to try VO2, they have the best instructors’ but I was a little intimidated. I am so grateful that I have such an inspiring place to come to everyday.

V: What is your favorite workout/movement?

S: I love it all! Tammy’s inspired flow is so amazing. I enjoy learning challenging poses especially arm balances and headstands. I actually like burpees and jump squats in 40 degree heat (thanks Janine!)

V: What do you do for work?

S: I am an elementary/junior high teacher and so blessed to have homeschooled my two boys for the last ten years. During the year I organize the track and field events for 150 kids and I am on the executive for the speed skating club for the past 8 years.

V: What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?
Three years ago I was 95lbs and had no strength at all. I was so inflexible that I couldn’t even touch my toes and I had never tried yoga. After my first month, I loved yoga so much I booked a two week trip to India. My husband thought I was nuts!

V: If there is anything else you want to add feel free!!

S: I am so grateful to everyone at VO2, it has really changed my life to be accepted as part of a team that works hard and is so supportive. Thank you!

Cardio is pretty good!  I like lifting weights and love how ab work-outs make me feel stronger.

V:What do you do for work?

I work for Seven Generations Energy in the well completions office which I’ve been doing now for about 3 years.

Thank you!
