Kari Pettersen, Registered Acupuncturist – To The Point Acupuncture

January 29, 2014 – Congratulations to our acupuncturist, Kari Petterson, of To The Point Acupuncture, in recently completing her comprehensive course, The Treatment of Infertility.

In modern lifestyles, ‘assisted reproduction technology” clinics are multiplying in response to a large and growing demand by couples unable to have children.   Success is limited and many women are looking towards Chinese medicine that offers a gentler and more holistic approach in addressing infertility.

If you have questions regarding infertility and treatment through acupuncture, please call Kari at 587.297.7043 or visit her website to book an appointment: www.tothepointacupuncture.ca

Kari is a graduate of the three year program of Acupuncture at Grant MacEwan University and registered with the CAAA (College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta). She has taken specialized courses in Acupuncture Sports Medicine and Cosmetic Acupuncture. Her main area of focus is Sports injuries and Fertility treatments. How can Acupuncture help athletes? Acupuncture is an effective treatment for Sports Injuries because it reduces pain, increases range of motion, increases recovery and healing time, and strengthens weakened parts of the body. These effects are accomplished during treatment because acupuncture:

1. Decreases inflammation

2. Reduces swelling

3. Relaxes muscles and relieves spasms

4. Lowers the body’s pain response

5. Improves local blood circulation to increase delivery of nutrients

Acupuncture not only increases recovery time but can also cure fatigue, performance anxiety and depression. This is because Acupuncture has a beneficial effect on the nervous system, and naturally boots endorphins producing a more relaxed, focused, and happy athlete.

If you’d like more information about acupuncture, what acupuncture can treat or to book an appointment, please feel free to give her a call at 587.297.7043 or visit her website at: tothepointacupuncture.ca
